Acceptance of Terms

By using customremind.me, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account, in accordance with the minimum age requirements under the GDPR.

Account and Authentication

customremind.me uses a passwordless magic-link authentication system. When you sign up or log in, we send a one-time link to your email address. Clicking that link authenticates your session.

Each email address is limited to one account. You are responsible for maintaining access to the email address associated with your account, as it is the sole means of authentication.

Service Description

customremind.me lets you create custom reminders and price watches for products. Notifications are delivered via email, SMS, or Telegram based on your preferences.

We deliver notifications on a best-effort basis. While we strive for timely delivery, we do not guarantee real-time or instantaneous notification. Delivery depends on the availability of third-party services (email providers, SMS gateways, Telegram).

Plans and Billing

customremind.me offers three subscription tiers:

  • Starter — up to 10 reminders and 3 price watches.
  • Growth — up to 20 reminders and 10 price watches.
  • Unlimited — unlimited reminders and price watches.

All payments are processed by Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period. You can cancel your subscription at any time from your dashboard — your access continues until the end of the current billing period.

We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods. If you downgrade, the new plan takes effect at the start of your next billing cycle.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to access the service.
  • Scrape, crawl, or extract data from the service beyond normal use.
  • Include abusive, threatening, or illegal content in your reminders.
  • Use price watches to manipulate markets or engage in unfair trading practices.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these guidelines.

Intellectual Property

The service, its design, and all associated code are the property of vandermeel.com. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the service without permission.

You retain full ownership of the data you provide, including reminder content and product URLs. We do not claim any rights to your data beyond what is necessary to deliver the service.

Service Availability

customremind.me is provided "as is" without any service-level agreement (SLA). We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access.

The service may experience scheduled or unscheduled maintenance. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of planned downtime in advance, but cannot guarantee advance notice for all maintenance windows.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, vandermeel.com is not liable for:

  • Missed or delayed reminders or notifications.
  • Incorrect or outdated price data from product URLs.
  • Outages or failures of third-party services (AWS, Stripe, Telegram).
  • Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the service.

Our total liability is limited to the amount you have paid for the service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Termination

You may delete your account at any time. Upon deletion, your account data, reminders, and price watches will be removed, subject to any legal retention requirements (such as payment records required by tax law).

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms of Service. If we terminate your account, you will be notified at your registered email address.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Any disputes arising from or related to these Terms or the service will be resolved in the courts of the Netherlands.

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page. For material changes, we will notify you via email. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
